Ali Kibar

Born in Kayseri in 1958, Ali Kibar graduated from Istanbul Lycée Saint-Michel and Marmara University Faculty of Economics and Commercial Sciences.

Ali Kibar is a Member of Foreign Economic Relations Board’s (DEIK) Board of Directors and Executive Committee, the Chairman of DEIK Turkey - Korea Business Council, a Member of DEIK Turkey - Switzerland Business Council Executive Board, a member of DEIK Turkey – U.S. Business Council Executive Board and the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Turkey Aluminum Industry Association (TALSAD). Moreover, he represents Turkey in the European Aluminum Association.

Ali Kibar, who served as the Honorary Consul to the Republic of Korea in Istanbul between the years of 1999 and 2007, has been acting as the Honorary Consul to the Republic of Korea in Kayseri since 2007 and as the Honorary Consul to the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kocaeli as of 2011.

He was bestowed the "Korean Moran Order of Civil Merit" by the Korean Government on October 5, 2010.

As one of the founders of the Young Executives and Businessmen Association, Young Businessmen Association of Turkey, and the Young Presidents Organization Bosphorus Chapter, Ali Kibar also is a member of the Turkish Industry and Business Association, a member of the Discipline Committee of the Young Businessmen Association of Turkey, a member of the Energy Efficiency Association, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Turkey Disabled Persons Sport Aid and Education Organization, a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Wide Fund for Nature, a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board of the Turkish Education Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tohum Autism Foundation, a member of the Council Board of Cercle d’Orient, and a member of the board of the Kibar Education and Social Aid Foundation. Moreover, he carries out various activities in different social welfare institutions.

Having taken up various positions at each level of the Kibar Group since 1982, Ali Kibar still acts as the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Kibar Holding.
